It must be noted that this Dorset based Carnival
Band is also regarded as the best marching band for the more serious
events connected with Remembrance Day parades.
The superior musicianship can often be overlooked during the antics
of the more zany events! You can be sure that the talent in this
carnival / marching band is well worth seeing.
This web site has been set up to let as many people as possible
know about the activities of an excellent organisation - The Dorchester
Carnival Band. This band is the premier Dorset carnival band and
should be the first choice for any public event, carnival or show.
Dorchester Town! You should be proud of the Dorchester Carnival Band. This band is now at a
bit of a crossroad in it's life. The band raises money for all sorts of charities and provide
excellent entertainment for everyone - where ever they go. Now the band needs YOUR help.
Anyone who has a sense of humour and some musical ability is required
to boost the band numbers. If you have those two qualities, well......that will be excellent
and you'll be the first ones there like that!!
Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings from 8pm at the Boys Brigade Hall, Dorchester - off Weymouth Avenue -
Saw Mills Lane by the Ford Garage. If you get to Tesco - you've gone too far!!
Please help the band to entertain the public and raise more money for good causes
The whole band were proud to have been asked to lead
one of the sections in the 2004 Veterans' Parade and put on an excellent
show........more
The Mayor and Mayoress of Dorchester are keen to see the band continue - It would be nice to see
more people like this......another recent article and picture from the Dorset Echo
(opens in new window)
In 2004 they showed the residents and visitors in Weymouth that they have what it takes to present an excellent
section in the Veterans' Parade
